USING PERSONALIZATION


I. What is Personalization?

How does personalization fit into a larger contextual marketing strategy?

Personalization is a tool that you can use inside of your larger contextual marketing strategy. It allows you to focus on an individual. You’ll be able to provide even more value to your users by communicating directly to him or her using their personal details.

Contextual marketing is a way to reach large, targeted groups of people that have something in common, such as their lifecycle stage.


What are the four property categories for personalization?

How is this information connected to your Contacts data

While you can use essentially any custom contact property that you create and collect on your forms, there are four categories for personalization:

Contact properties will contain tokens like first name, email address and the like.

Company properties will have industry, company name, and total revenue and other details about the contact’s company.

Office location properties will have tokens such as city, state and postal code.

HubSpot Owner properties for first name, last name and signature, all of which belong to the HubSpot users.


The personalization token corresponds to your contacts database in HubSpot



II. How do You Use Personalization
